Stunning Late Victorian Oval Serving Platter in the highly collectible "Antique" pattern by W.H. Grindley & Co. (Staffordshire, England) in remarkable condition.
Dating back to its official registration year of 1895 (Rd No 250386), this true antique ironstone piece features a gorgeous teal-green/blue floral transferware border, heavily scalloped edges, and delicate metallic gold gilding along the inner rim accents. It makes a breathtaking decorative display piece or statement server for holiday tables.

This piece is over 130 years old and shows its beautiful historic character. It has heavy, prominent all-over crazing throughout the clear glaze on both the front and back, giving it that perfect, authentic aged aesthetic. There are no chips, no cracks, and no flea bites. The original kiln stilt marks from the pottery firing process are visible on the back stamp. Gold trim shows light vintage wear but remains beautifully reflective.
