Beautiful antique Pirkenhammer porcelain handled serving/cake plate, made in Austria during the Fischer & Mieg era, dating to approximately 1893–1918.
White porcelain with a delicate green shamrock/clover border, fine gold trim, and ornate pierced handles with molded foliate details and gilt accents.
Measures about 11 3/4" from handle to handle.
The combination of the simple clover border and elaborate handles is gorgeous.
The underside has the Pirkenhammer crossed-hammers mark, along with “Austria” and “MADE IN AUSTRIA,” plus a handwritten production/decorator number.
Condition: Very good antique condition considering its 100+ year age. No chips or cracks observed. There is age-appropriate wear to the gold decoration, particularly around the handles, along with minor signs of use. Please see photos for details.
