Vintage MCM Sequoia Ware Square Planter - White - With Original Foil Label
Charming mid-century California pottery planter by Sequoia Ware.
• Maker: Sequoia Ware, California, USA - circa 1950s
• Label: Original gold foil tree logo sticker SEQUOIA WARE on front, nice and legible
• Form: Square, low and wide, with vertical ribbed sides and 4 small feet. Octagonal clipped corners
• Glaze: Glossy creamy white glaze
• Size: Approx. 6" wide x 6" deep x 2" tall - see ruler photos. Perfect as a succulent planter, candy dish, trinket tray, or vanity catchall
• Mark: No ink stamp, as made - Sequoia used the foil label only on this line
Condition: Vintage pre-owned in very good condition. No chips or cracks. There is a small factory glaze skip / thin spot in the glaze right next to the foil label, as made and mentioned for accuracy. Light crazing and a few tiny kiln specks on feet from firing. Displays beautifully.
This is the harder to find square shape, and the foil label adds value for California pottery collectors
