Beautiful Vintage Japanese Imari Charger Plate - Bird and Peony Floral
Lovely large scalloped charger plate made in Japan. Central design features two large pink peonies with yellow centers, delicate cherry blossom branches, and a small blue bird with orange breast perched on a branch.
Wide ornate border in deep cobalt blue decorated with peonies, chrysanthemums, small plum blossoms, and additional birds. Outer bands in blue and sage green with traditional Imari scrollwork. Scalloped edge with brown trim.
Perfect for display, wall hanging, or to add a pop of color to a plate wall. Very decorative Asian style.
Marked on back with square Japanese character seal and JAPAN.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Glaze is shiny, no wear to pattern. Please see all photos as they are part of the description - includes close-ups of center, border, back mark, and measurement.
