Vintage Set of 4 Currier & Ives Colorful Porcelain Collector Thimbles - Country Americana Scenes
Set of 4 white porcelain thimbles with full-color Currier & Ives lithograph scenes and gold trim at base. These are NOT the blue Homestead in Winter ones - these are the multi-color version from the 1970s Japan collection.
The 4 in this lot are:
Covered Bridge - white bridge, farmhouse, pink blossom tree, green grass
Fox Hunt / Horse & Hound - rider on brown horse with dog on country lane, fall trees
Hay Wagon - horse-drawn open wagon with figures, pink & green trees
Cattle / Sheep by the Water + Snowy Farmstead - double-sided - one side shows cows / sheep by a tree and lake, other side shows snowy cottage with fence (same thimble, two views shown in photos)
• Maker: Currier & Ives Americana - Made in Japan - 1970s
• Material: Porcelain, full-color transferware, gold gilt band on bottom rim
• Size: 1" tall x 1 1/8" diameter - standard thimble size
• Condition: Excellent vintage. No chips or cracks. Light wear to gold trim, typical of age. Glossy glaze, dimpled top.
• Ideal for: Thimble collectors, Currier & Ives collectors, Americana / farmhouse display
