Indiana Glass Company, founded in 1907 in Dunkirk, Indiana, became a prominent producer of pressed glassware, including popular patterns like 'King's Crown' and 'Avalon'. The 'Peach Colony' pattern, often referred to as 'Whitehall' or 'Starburst', was introduced in the mid-1950s and became one of their most recognizable and widely produced lines. This pattern is known for its distinctive hobnail or diamond-like texture and was made in a variety of colors, with peach being a particularly popular choice.
