Hi! I’m a retired RN who lost my husband three years ago. Needing a new start, l purchased a beautiful home built in 1860 in the village l grew up in. I quickly realized this house deserved better than cookie cutter decor from Pier 1 and Marshalls! And from there came my absolute love of hunting for treasure. I cant keep it all, so here l am!!
Made in England. Late 1800’s. Hinged lid and spout. Small dent in side. As for the markings on the bottom, the RS is likely the silversmiths initials, the “lion passant” is an English marking depicting sterling. The crossed keys and flower indicate the two persons who authenticated the piece. 2294 is the pattern number. An absolutely gorgeous piece.
