Vintage Anchor Hocking "Old Cafe" Candy Dish - Cranberry Ruby Flash Lid & Clear Spiderweb Base (1936–1940) 7”x 4 3/4”

Lid features deep, vertical ribs that lead to a pointed top, often described as a melon or starburst shape. An integral part of the pressed glass lid, designed for a comfortable grip. For the two-tone "Old Cafe" set, the knob is always clear glass, contrasting with the cranberry-stained (ruby-flashed) lid. Excellent vintage condition. The mottled, slightly bubbly, or uneven texture visible in the center (where the knob attaches) is often a result of the manufacturing process rather than damage. When the clear glass knob was pressed into the mold with the lid, the glass was thickest and hottest at that point, sometimes creating these characteristic internal "flow marks" or tiny air bubbles.
