Up for sale is a genuine 1930s Prohibition Era Krome-Kraft cocktail shaker pitcher by Farber Brothers, New York.
This is the large hammered version, not the small 10" shaker.
• Construction: Heavy chrome-plated pitcher with 3 wide hand-hammered bands, smooth bands, and stepped pedestal foot. Tall conical body.
• Hardware: Original dome lid with knurled edge screws on smoothly. Small spout has its original threaded knurled cap - screws on/off. Black Bakelite scroll handle with ornate chrome mounts top and bottom - no cracks, tight to body.
• Mark: Clearly stamped KROME-KRAFT FARBER BROS NEW YORK N.Y. on bottom as photographed.
• Condition: Very good vintage. Chrome is bright and shiny with light surface scratches and dust from storage - no deep pitting, no major dents or dings. Inside is clean. Bakelite handle is intact with nice patina. See all photos - they are part of description.
A classic piece described by collectors as: "An extra tall Prohibition Era American hammered pewter cocktail shaker with a yellow and black bakelite handle, lid finial and unscrewing spout cap by Krome Kraft for Farber Brothers, New York, circa 1930s."
