This lovely antique clear glass cruet features a classic hobnail (or “dew drop”) texture, a molded loop handle, and its original ground glass stopper. The base shows a true pontil scar — a sign that it was hand-finished rather than fully machine-made. The combination of these features places it in the early 20th century, during the transitional period when glassmaking shifted from hand-blown to semi-automated production (circa 1910–1930). It stands approximately 9 inches tall (including stopper) with a 3-inch diameter base. The stopper fits well and shows a small rough spot at the tip, typical for ground antique stoppers. Inside the bottle, there’s a faint raised line — likely a straw mark from the cooling process, not a crack. It does not go through to the exterior. This piece remains in excellent antique condition, showing only light age-appropriate wear. Perfect for collectors of Early American and transitional glassware, or anyone who loves genuine antique craftsmanship.
