This is an ironstone Creamer or small Pitcher from the Royal Staffordshire line, in the "American Legend" pattern by J. & G. Meakin of England. The piece is crafted from durable ironstone and features a scalloped rim and a graceful, slightly bulbous body. The decoration is a monochrome brown transferware design depicting an architectural scene of the United States Capitol Building. There is a small chip on the bottom of the creamer.
